Interior trends 2025 – and the tiles that will go with them

As we move into 2025, British interior design continues to champion a blend of nostalgia, sustainability and personalisation, according to Lesley Taylor – Interior Designer and Founder of The Baked Tile Company.

And among those trends making the interior headlines in 2025 will be earthy colour palettes, a focus on curves, 70s chic and quiet luxury.

Lesley said: “These trends bring a fresh perspective to living spaces whilst ensuring that every detail tells a story.

“By embracing these trends thoughtfully, you can create a home that feels contemporary and uniquely yours.

“Tiles are an essential tool in this transformation, offering endless possibilities to align with your chosen aesthetic. Whether you’re leaning into nostalgia or crafting a space that’s entirely your own, these trends provide a perfect starting point for a stunning 2025 home makeover.”

Here Lesley outlines the key design directions for this year and showcases the products that can enhance and complement each trend.

Earthy Tones

In 2025, interiors will be inspired by nature and warm, earthy tones such as brown, terracotta, ochre and soft reds will take centre stage. Materials like clay, wood, and linen are integral to this trend, emphasising a connection to the earth and sustainability.

Lesley said: “These colours create spaces that feel grounded and tranquil, making them perfect for both modern and traditional homes.”

Curved and Wavy Lines

Goodbye sharp edges, hello curves! In 2025, interiors are embracing soft, flowing forms. From arched doorways and rounded furniture to wave-inspired decor, this trend adds a gentle, inviting aesthetic.

Lesley said: “It’s all about creating spaces that feel organic and calming while maintaining a sense of modernity.”

The 1970s are back in style, but with a refined twist. This trend emphasises rich earth tones, playful patterns and a sense of retro fun.
