The new bird Feeder VHT-5 is designed for summer heat. The two deeper porcelain bowls can be filled with more water than the previous model. The feeding station is available in 3 variants: in brushed or additionally powder-coated stainless steel or in rust-finished Corten steel.

Like the new Birdbath VT-2, all feeders are mounted on a 1.5 m high bar, making them unreachable for cats.

Many other bird baths are offered as water bowls near the ground, but let the hearts of hungry cats beat faster. Nothing is more appealing to cats than a bird within reach. Even if the belly is saturated, the hunting instinct remains.

At a height of 1.50 m, it will be impossible even for fierce cats to get a delicious bird snack.

Leading bird watchers such as Peter Berthold, long-time director of the Ornithological Institute Radolfzell, a branch of the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology, urge to feed birds also in the summer. Especially in the rearing phase for the juvenile birds (and in view of the dramatic insect decline) the nutrient requirement is particularly high.

Therefore the bird snacks from OPOSSUM design are designed as combined bird baths and feeding places. Simply fill water into one of the porcelain bowls, the other bowl with food. The birds are happy.
