Maison Bengal set up their community of crafters to help fight poverty in Bangladesh. Working particularly with mothers and young women, these stunning baskets are handmade by local artisans using locally grown natural hogla fibres. They are committed to working closely with fair trade organisations to identify the most marginalised communities in their area and provide training, allowing many to work in their home environment, enabling them to care for, as well as financially support their families.
