The Antelope Canyon Rug from Sonya Winner Studio
This unique statement rug is inspired by the stunning ‘slot canyon’ in Arizona.
The design is created around a dramatic central light pouring in through the top gap in the aged red rock and creating a multitude of mixing colours.
The dynamic organic shapes of the design echo the outline of an ever-evolving formation, shaped by the elements of nature for millennia.
This design has been created in three different colour ways: Twilight, Pool and Mist. Each version is based on the colours seen on the rocks at different times of the day and the feelings experienced when witnessing them. The lighting inside the Canyon changes from the early morning, to the afternoon and finally to the setting sun, and so do the colours on its walls.

The Colour Canyon Rug from Sonya Winner Studio
Our most ambitions colour mixing project to date, the Colour Canyon rug is composed of 85 hand dyed wool colours.
Colour Canyon is a statement art rug and a transformational piece for any interior. The design draws its inspiration from the majestic natural beauty of Arizona’s Grand Canyon. Sonya visited the national park just beforethe first lockdown and fell in love with the magnificent shapes and colours of the site.
This complex art rug celebrates the union of vibrant colour and calming organic shapes. The soft dynamism within the design echoes how the Canyon has been shaped by the elements for millions of years, creating an elegant flow of natural forms.
